CLAIM aims to analyse the role and practices of marginalised actors in international climate-change-related litigation. It draws on three disciplines \u2013 law, political science, and communication studies \u2013 to go beyond a purely technical legal analysis and to consider power dynamics and the way discourses and practices are constructed before, during, and after cases. Climate change particularly affects marginalised stakeholders, and climate-related litigation has been widely used by these actors. Beyond the litigation itself, these actions trigger a range of related strategies in the fields of law, politics, and communication.<a href=\"https:\/\/sites.uclouvain.be\/CLAIM\/\">https:\/\/sites.uclouvain.be\/CLAIM\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more information: <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.uclouvain.be\/CLAIM\/\">https:\/\/sites.uclouvain.be\/CLAIM\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Recruitment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Continuing this research requires recruiting, <strong><u>from 1 January 2027 <\/u><\/strong>(the exact start date of the contract will be fixed with the selected candidate), a postdoctoral researcher holding a PhD in media and communication sciences (or language sciences, or an equivalent field). The postdoctoral fellowship is awarded for one year, in accordance with UCLouvain&#8217;s pay scales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This call is aimed in particular at researchers in a situation of <strong>international mobility<\/strong>, who have not resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Belgium for more than 24 months during the three years preceding the start date of the contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Main tasks<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Within the CLAIM project, develop research activities to analyse the communicational and discursive dimensions of international climate litigation. CLAIM vise \u00e0 analyser le r\u00f4le et les pratiques des acteur\u00b7ices marginalis\u00e9\u00b7es dans les contentieux internationaux li\u00e9s au changement climatique. Il mobilise trois disciplines \u2013 le droit, les sciences politiques et les sciences de la communication &#8211; pour aller au-del\u00e0 d&#8217;une analyse purement technique du droit et prendre en compte les dynamiques de pouvoir et la mani\u00e8re dont les discours et les pratiques sont construits avant, pendant et apr\u00e8s les affaires. Le changement climatique affecte particuli\u00e8rement les parties prenantes marginalis\u00e9es et les litiges li\u00e9s au climat ont \u00e9t\u00e9 largement mobilis\u00e9s par ces acteurs. Ceci impliquera la d\u00e9finition de strat\u00e9gies de recherche sp\u00e9cifiques, en collaboration avec l\u2019\u00e9quipe de CLAIM ; la collecte de corpus de publications et de supports de communication, m\u00e9diatiques et num\u00e9riques en particulier ;
