The FNRS Contact Group on "Wavelets and Applications" (CGWA, or "Groupe de contact FNRS, Ondelettes et applications" in French) is a series of workshops sponsored by the F.R.S.-FNRS organized regularly since 1996.
This group was founded by Prof. Jean-Pierre Antoine (UCLouvain, Belgium) and Prof Christine De Mol (ULB, Belgium).
The CGWA aims at fostering collaboration between Belgian and international scientific teams on the following research topics:
- wavelet theory, computational harmonic analysis and applications;
- low-complexity signal models;
- functional spaces and approximation theory;
- generalized multi-resolution analysis;
- graph and manifold signal processing;
- inverse problem solving and compressive sensing.
The workshops are organized on a yearly basis, with one or two invited speakers, and a call for contributed talks among the CGWA network. This network is contacted through the mailing list (which is open to new registration).
