Aims

The aims of this course are to teach the principles of specific contracts and to allow the students to solve simple practical problems.

Main themes

The course is first of all an illustration of the principles and the legal mechanisms examined in the course on the law of obligations. It also emphasises the numerous rules which apply to some specific contracts. The course mainly focuses on leases (the general law and dwellings for principal residence) and the sale of goods. Service contracts (hire of work and skill, agency and bailment) will also be studied, and the course touches on some "little contracts" ( e.g. loans for use).

The Contract Law II course allows students to develop a deeper knowledge of the subject , by studying other specific contracts.

Other information (prerequisite, evaluation (assessment methods), course materials recommended readings, ...)

The students will have a case book for each of the contracts examined. A folder with legal texts, case law and contractual documents is delivered to the students. It will be necessary to coordinate the teaching of the law of obligations and contract law
