Aims

The seminar, especially if followed in the 3rd year, allows us to assess the capability of the student to write a paper in the literature field, while having the ambition of writing a true scientific paper.

Main themes

Study as complete as possible of an entire work following different methods.

Content and teaching methods

Analysis:

As a continuity to the course "Explanation of French Autors in modern Period", the aim of the seminar is to have the students analyse a literary work in varied angles and methodologies. A paper at the end of the seminar is required. Recent topics : Une histoire sans nom of Barbey d'Aurevilly, L'Eve future of Villiers de l'Isle-Adam, Dans les années profondes of Jouve, Les deux cavaliers de l'orage of Giono.

Evaluation : Active participation of the students at the sessions and paper to be written.
The seminar is given by a member of the scientific staff.
