Message of the Coordinator

It was great to see many of you at the study day in Mons. Many thanks to the team in Mons and to Alain Vande Wouver for organizing an inspiring day!

The next DYSCO day will be organized by the VUB team and will take place on November 22, 2013 at the prestigious "Palais des Académies" in Brussels; watch out for more details in the Fall.

It is a pleasure for me to take this opportunity to congratulate our colleague Sabine Van Huffel (KULeuven) for her recent honorary doctorate from TU/e. Sabine is one of the world’s leading authorities in the field of biomedical signal processing and it is a honor to have her participating in our network.

Enjoy this new issue of Dysco News.

Awards

Honorary Doctorate for Prof. Sabine Van Huffel

Prof. Sabine Van Huffel of KU Leuven received an honorary doctorate from TU/e on 25 April 2013.

She is one of the world’s leading authorities in the field of biomedical signal processing. This expertise area leads to techniques that allow data to be obtained from inside patients’ bodies without the need for operations, and is also one of the strengths of TU/e. Van Huffel is a recognized role model for women in science.
