Prerequisites

LFLTR 1750 (Basic Modern Italian I) and LROM 1751 (Basic Modern Italian II) or similar.

Main themes
  • Broadening of vocabulary, continuation and deepening of the study of morpho-syntax;
  • Memorisation of dialogues, structural exercises;
  • Reading of 20th century short stories, from important writers;
  • Exercises in oral and written comprehension and expression;
  • Tutorials in small groups where special attention is paid to the development of personal expression.
Aims
  • To allow students to follow a conversation or a presentation;
  • To be able to express oneself correctly in normal circumstances;
  • To understand advanced level texts after a quick reading;
  • To be able to write a brief scientific text;
  • Presentation of 20th century literature and culture through reading and analysis of short texts.
