Prerequisites

A good knowledge of Italian both spoken and written.

 

Main themes

Conversation tables and writing exercises, based on the course in the history of Italian literature. Further developing the ability to produce written work Students will have to give talks on selected subjects

Aims
  • Ensuring a command of oral and written Italian;
  • Making it possible to assimilate the material taught in the course on the history of Italian literature, given the same year.
  • Further developing the ability to produce written work Knowing how to present a scholarly talk in Italian.
Evaluation methods

-  An oral exam on the theoretical content: interdisciplinary study (during the exam session)

-  A continuous evaluation of the linguistic learning

-  An evaluation on stage of the collaborative project at the end of April in real show conditions: in a theatre and in front of an audience

Content

With the contemporary Italian plays selected by the teacher depending on the group, the student will learn how to juggle with the language. The student will also :

-  understand the challenges of the dramatic writing and the scenic creation;

-  approach a cultural activity very diffused today among the young Italians;

-  do elocution and reciting exercises in order to develop his/her oral skills
