Aims

At the end of this course, students should have a broad, historically founded knowledge of 20th-century Spanish literature.
They should be able to situate the works studied in their historical and literary context and be able to interpret them both in terms of literal comprehension and from an intertextual point of view.

Evaluation methods

Evaluation A final written exam, combined with continuous assessment during the exercises.

Content The course will alternate lectures and analysis of works (narrative or poetic), either in the form of extracts (the students will receive a special anthology for this purpose at the beginning of the course), or in their entirety, so as to offer a complete panorama of Spanish literature of the 20th century. Exercise sessions will enable students to assimilate the material dealt with in the lectures on the basis of individual or collective tasks, making use of complementary documents available on the Internet portal Hisp@cultura.
