This course aims to deal with Christian ethics as they are found in the Christian scriptures, in Tradition, and in some of the Church's teachings. Alongside this "simply human" morality, there exists a genuinely evangelical and Christian morality.
Content and teaching methods
The content will be chosen from within the Christian corpus, in such a way that meets these specific criteria precisely (e.g. charity, love thy enemy, and unconditional respect for the human beings given their status before God). This will not, as so frequently happens in Christian ethical matters, rule out more general themes of morality (the attitude to problems of justice, of the Third and Fourth Worlds, of life, of death and of the problem of evil).
The teacher will be asked to take account of the sensitivities and training to be found in a class of students such as future sociologists, economists, company directors and politicians.
