Course study teaching students in their first term of Oto-Rhino-laryngology the basic notions of audiology and vestibulology.
Main themes
The audiology portion of this course studies the subjective tests : liminary and supraliminary tonal audiometry, vocal audiometry and special tests(integration, intelligibility ) ; pediatric audiometry, impedancemetry. The impedancemerty test appreciating tympano-ossicular compliance ; stapedian reflex ; study of resonance frequency ; clinical applications in the normal and deaf subject.
The vestibulology portion of this course teaches the basic techniques notable the vestibular tests with electro-nystagmograpgic recording ; study of the vestibulo-spinal reflex by posturographic methods and study of different vestibular tests in the normal subject and pathologically.
